Doctor

Dr. Richard A Lefebvre , DVM

Dr. Rick Lefebvre was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated from Catholic High in Baton Rouge in 1967, and pursued his pre-vet studies at LSU from '67 thru '70. He graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Med. in 1974. Dr Rick came to Monroe, La in 1974 and was Dr. Mike Cumming's partner at Cummings Veterinary Hospital for 15 years. Lefebvre Veterinary Medical Center was started in 1989 and today still continues to serve the Monroe area. They have 2 children, Richard Jr. and Lauren. Richard graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2005 and practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada for six months, but recently moved back to practice at LVMC. Lauren graduated in December 2005 from LSU with a degree in Apparel Merchandising. They are also parents to Rush, Annabelle, Moby, Burnie, and Ashby.

Dr. Richard A Lefebvre, Jr. , DVM

Dr. Richard Lefebvre, Jr. was born in Monroe, LA and attended St. Frederick High School;from there in 1996, he attended Louisiana State University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He received a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from ULM. He recently moved to Monroe after graduating from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and practicing at Park Animal Hospital in Las Vegas, NV for six months.

Dr. Susan H Paul , DVM

Dr. Susan Hughes Paul was born in Morgan City, LA and raised in Acme, LA from the time she was three years old until she graduated from Monterey High School. She completed three years of pre-vet studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before attending LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She and her husband, Phillip Paul were married in 1994. In 1995, she graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and joined Lefebvre Veterinary Medical Center, where she continues to practice and serve the Monroe area. On June 10, 2008, she & Phillip, welcomed Maranda Judith Paul, their first 'two-legged child', into their family. Her other "four-legged children" include her Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler), Kyla, and two domestic shorthair cats, Frankie & Sammy.

John McClendon, Jr. , DVM

Dr. John McClendon, Jr. was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. As a child John loved animals and saw himself working with them one day. He finished Riverwood High School in Atlanta, GA in 1988, and earned a B.S. in Public Administration from George Mason University in 1994. Afterwards, in 1996, he received a Masters of Business Administration at Southern Methodist University. John pursued a career in the telecommunications industry for the next 8 years. After growing tired of the corporate rat race and upon discovering his true heart, he decided to follow his passion...working with animals. He returned home where he enrolled at LSU as a lowly undergraduate concentrating in pre-vet courses. After equipping himself with a more advanced knowledge of math and science, he enrolled at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2009. Hearing the call of home and family, John joined the team at Lefebvre Veterinary Medical Center in July 2009. He resides in Monroe's Garden District with his dog, "Frigate".

Sybil

Sybil, wife of Dr. Lefebvre, is the office manager; her job is ensuring quality through the staff and veterinary products. She has devoted herself to the practice as a determined customer service provider, office supervisor, sales representative, and a loving friend to every animal who graces our doorstep.

Judy

Judy,a retired teacher, is a new resident to Monroe,but a lifelong resident of Louisiana. Moving to a new place is hard, but being able to work with family and in a clinic that provides excellent care for all of God's creatures both large and small is wonderful. Also, knowing that I can help to make a difference in some small way means everything to me.

Lauren

Daughter of Dr. Rick Lefebvre and Sybil Lefebvre. She moved from Baton Rouge in the latter part of 2008 to help with the family business.
